| About You |
The Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park, a remote UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Sulu Sea, is considered the crown jewel of liveaboard diving in the Philippines. Accessible only by boat from Puerto Princesa, this isolated sanctuary is renowned for its staggering biodiversity within the Coral Triangle, featuring over 370 coral species and 600 species of fish. Divers frequently encounter large pelagic life, including various reef sharks (like whitetip, blacktip, and grey reef sharks), manta rays, and occasional whale sharks, alongside schools of fish and curious sea turtles. The prime diving season is short, running from mid-March to mid-June, when calm seas and exceptional visibility make the journey safe and the diving superb. Due to the challenging conditions, including strong currents and drift diving, most operators require an Advanced Open Water Diver certification with at least 40 logged dives.
