A Montana tradition

My husband’s family began ranching in Bigfork during the 1960s. They began the tradition of collecting water here. We now live in Helena. Any trip through the McDonald Pass involves a stop at this well-known roadside spring for 20 or more gallons of drinking water. At times, we’ve made recreational trips merely to restock good water. The state posted a liability warning to absolve themselves of liability; however, generations of Montanans have safely consumed this tasty limestone filtered natural water.
